The VL45 Radiohus Suspension Lamp Ø 17.5cm was designed by Vilhelm Lauritzen for the brand Louis Poulsen.

One of Denmark's most famous lighting and general furniture designers, Lauritzen was a major 20th century talent. He was also a go-to designer for public projects such as the Copenhagen Radiohus concert hall. Built in the 1930s, the Radiohus needed striking lighting to match its grand interior, and Lauritzen supplied this with a range of dazzling creations.

Now, all fans of high-quality interior lighting can add this level of luminaire creativity to their homes via designs like the VL45 Radiohus Suspension Lamp . This suspension lamp hangs from an adaptable 400cm cable and has a beautiful oval-shaped diffuser. Made from hand-blown glass and richly toned brass, the diffuser has an opal tone which combines elegantly with its E27/100W halogen bulb, casting a gentle but penetrating light across large spaces. The VL45 Radiohus Suspension Lamp is fairly large as well, measuring 24.6 x 17.5 cm, 32.8 x 25 cm, or 44.8 x 37 cm - depending on which of the three models buyers choose. Weights will also vary with size, ranging from 1 to 4 kg.
