The Carbon Bar Chair was designed by Bertjan Pot and Marcel Wanders for the brand Moooi.

Bertjan Pot is a product designer famous for his Masks and Random Light created in 1999. Marcel Wanders is a Dutch product designer who graduated cum laude in 1988 from the Institute of the Arts, Arnhem. Wanders is currently the director of his own design studio. Some of his notable works include the Knotted Chair and the Pollinosis Airborne Snotty Vase.

Together, Wanders and Pot designed the Carbon Bar Chair, which makes use of carbon fibre materials that are soaked in epoxy resin to give a distinct appearance. This sleek and backless chair has a height of 92cm, a length of 45cm, a width of 45cm and a seat height of 76cm, making it suitable for a dining area or a bar. The carbon material used makes the Carbon Bar Chair an excellent option for outdoor use. There are individual strands of carbon fibre that are interwoven to give the chair a durable and robust body, and an excellent finish that can transform a space instantly. The chair weighs only 11lbs thanks to the light materials used, making it easy to move around effortlessly.
