The Material The Originals Table Lamp Cork has been created by Martin Kechayas and Christian Nørgaard for the brand New Works. Materials is an iconic collection of lamps from New Works which plays with premium materials, exploring new ways to sculpt lighting shades. In this case, the designers have used natural cork to create a table lamp with beautiful textures and superb functionality.

The Material The Originals Table Lamp Cork features a pivoting shade with delicately rounded edges and a slender frame with a rounded base. This luminaire measures 25cm deep, 19cm wide and 45cm high - the ideal size to illuminate most work desks. The fluted shade directs light downwards, bathing books or documents in plenty of light.

As the name suggests, the shade of this Materials model has been made from cork and the finish has been left natural, allowing the cork's grain to show through. The frame of the Material The Originals Table Lamp Cork is made from painted steel, creating a neat contrast to the richness of the cork shade, while it weighs 3kg. A dimmer is included via the switch on the base, and the lamp takes a single bulb. The appropriate bulb with an E14 socket can be ordered under accessories.
