Plank Bookcase High

The Plank Bookcase High has been created by Simon Legald for the brand Normann Copenhagen. This perfect example of Scandinavian design prioritises function over decorative details. It is constructed from robust pine wood planks, from which it derives its name. This particular model stands as the tallest among the Plank Bookcase series.

Crafted from full-length pine wood planks, Plank Bookcase High is a simplistic storage solution with character. The outer frame and two horizontal and vertical planks emphasise the minimalist design concept of this bookshelf, dividing it into nine equally sized compartments. The Plank Bookcase High, made from solid pine wood, does not feature a back panel, allowing access to items from both sides. The inset base gives the design piece a light character. The wood is coated with UV-protective lacquer and impresses with its natural appearance. A patina can develop over time, but it will only add individual character to this minimalist piece of furniture.
