The Passion Cushion was designed by Stine Engelbrechtsen for Softline.
Engelbrechtsen was born in 1972 and trained in industrial design at Danmarks Designskole, graduating in 1999. Her major project was "Equipment for Outdoor Life". In 1999 she also exhibited at the Oksnehallen in Copenhagen and at the Formland Fair in Herning. The following year she joined Softline, which has been making furniture in its own factory in Denmark since 1979.
The company collaborates with leading designers to deliver its vision of creating innovative and functional high-quality products for both the home and public spaces. Engelbrechtsen is employed as a designer and product manager.
The Passion Cushion is part of her Nordic collection, which was created in 2012, complementing the Passion range of modular sofas. The timeless design creates a flexible combination of seating options that offers an elegant and practical solution for the modern home.
The cushions measure 62 x 45 x 10 cm and come in a variety of tones to match the sofa, or can be mixed to provide a stunning colour contrast. The cushion covers are removable and can be dry cleaned. Replacement covers are also available.
