This smart, flexible Wall Shelf 240x85x30cm was designed by Nisse Strinning for the Swedish label String.

String was established by Nils "Nisse" Strinning in 1952 to create furniture and household items, such as shelving systems. The latter include the "String Plex", "String Pocket" and "String Soft" modules, which are still being manufactured today. Though each item is distinguished by innovation in form, it's clear that functionality is at the core of every piece. In particular, the firm's shelving is easily maneuvered and expanded to provide endless storage options for the modern home.

Style and flexibility define the Wall Shelf. Fashioned from wood and metal, it comprises individual shelving units which users can position on lateral struts to create customised storage modules to suit their needs. The unit can hold books, audio systems and even computers, making it the ideal accessory for living rooms, kitchens and bedrooms.
