The alluring Softshell Armchair was designed by Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec for the label Vitra.

Vitra is a popular, Swiss, family-owned company has been in the industry for over 80 years. For this piece, they have collaborated with brothers Erwan and Ronan Bouroullec, who work and live in Paris. Their oeuvre ranges from the usual everyday items to bigger architectural projects. The duo has worked with the brand Vitra since 2000 and has contributed numerous beautiful designs to both home and office collections.

The allure of the Softshell Armchair can be attributed its high-quality fabrics, subtle shades and seeming simplicity. It's a minimal and compact yet inviting piece which would look smart in multiples around an office conference table. The soft upholstery, as well as the ergonomic construction, means a level of comfort which will make even hour-long sitting sessions pleasant. The base is fashioned from a sturdy, durable plastic in a range of finishes. Available in monochrome or muted tones, the chair measures 62cm in width, 81.5cm in height, 56.5cm in depth and has a seat height of 44cm.
