Alessi100 Farfalla Nutcracker

The Alessi100 Farfalla Nutcracker has been created by Enzo Mari for the brand Alessi. Although it was designed in the 1990s, it didn't go into production until 2021. The nutcracker gets its name farfalle from its butterfly-shaped handle. Farfalle is the Italian word for butterfly.

The Alessi100 Farfalla Nutcracker has a playful design that is also minimal and functional. Its designer is known for his austere approach to design that does away with anything flamboyant or superfluous. It is made of mirror-polished stainless steel. The nutcracker is part of the brand's celebration of its 100-year anniversary. It included putting together a collection of selected items that was dubbed the Alessi Values Collection. It was placed in the tenth part of the collection that was given the name Thingness. This part is all about items that have designs that emphasise the movement of an item so it can serve the purpose it was intended for.

The Alessi100 Farfalla Nutcracker has a length of 6.1cm, a width of 1.8cm and a height of 10cm. It not only makes cracking nuts easier but it also turns it into a fancy job with its shiny, polished look.
