The Shelf with Cabinet 140x200cm was designed by Nisse Strinning for the brand String. Back in 1949, publishing house Bonniers launched a competition for an inexpensive, packable, and easy-to-assemble shelving solution. The contest was won by the couple Nisse and Kajsa Strinning with their ingenious concept of a modern and minimalist shelving system that could be mounted on any wall. Some of the brand's most famous designs include 'Works' and the 'Museum.'
Timeless and functional, the Shelf with Cabinet 140x200cm is an ideal storage solution for the home, office, or a business. With its minimalist look, it can blend unobtrusively with the décor of any living space. Made of sturdy steel and medium-density fibreboard MDF , the Shelf with Cabinet 140x200cm is divided into two modules. One side is comprised of six wooden shelves that provide ample storage for belongings while the other part features a bottom cabinet with sliding doors that are easy to open and close. On top of the cabinet are four shelves to accommodate objects whilst a tilted shelf is included to display books, magazines, leaflets, or newspapers. The Shelf with Cabinet 140x200cm also works well with selected accessories from the modular system such as magazine holders.
