The Material Floor Lamp Terracotta has been created by Nørgaard & Kechayas for the brand New Works. It is part of a collection of lamps that features the same design but each one has a shade made of a different material. All of them are sustainable, keeping with the brand's ethos of protecting the environment by using eco-friendly materials.
Terracota has been used to make the shade on the Material Floor Lamp Terracotta. It is clay finished with glazing to make it non-porous and give it a smooth, even texture. The shade can be pivoted meaning it can be adjusted to face a chosen direction and cast light where it is needed. The inside of the lamp is white so it casts warm, white light. The shade sits on the end of a short arm formed from a long, narrow stem made of powder-coating aluminium. It is anchored into a round base that holds the lamp steady.
The Material Floor Lamp Terracotta has a height of 125cm and a diameter of 23cm. The PVC cable where the power switch is located has a length of 290cm. The base has a diameter of 23cm. The lamp does not have a dimmer but its light intensity can be adjusted if a dimmable bulb is used. It uses an E14 socket.
